Roasting figs in my toaster oven is one of my favorite pastimes. So when Refinery29 came round to ask for my ideal roster of holiday appetizers, I immediately started fantasizing about these.

The juicy orbs puff up and plump vibrantly, taking on astonishing degrees of sensuality. These mouth-orgasming bites deliver the creamy mellow coolness of burrata, salty prosciutto, tangy depth of balsamic, and earthy thyme—all on one blushing roasted fig.

Need I say more? They take less than 10 minutes to make!

  • 8 fresh figs
  • 4 inch six- ribbons of prosciutto
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves more for garnish
  • 8 oz . burrata
  • olive oil to taste
  • sea salt to taste
  • balsamic glaze or vinegar to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450º Slice figs in half and place face-up on baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and a pinch or two of sea salt.
