Some days call for the heaviest duty health artillery you’ve got, all hands on deck. And when it comes to Vitamixing, there’s not much better you can do than this: Cilantro for deep antioxidant power and heavy metal cleansing, apple for heart and digestive wellness, spinach for a major dosage of chlorophyll (a blood purifier, also known as the stuff that makes plants green), cucumber for health-giving polyphenols (disease preventing compounds) and anti-inflammatory properties, and lime for immune boosting vitamin C.
Make this on days when you need an extra boost, a hit of clean power that will sustain you at the cellular (and sub-cellular, as my BFF likes to say) level.
Ingredients
- ½ apple sliced, seeds and stem removed
- leaves handful of cilantro about 2 Tbsp. leaves
- 1 1/2 cups spinach leaves
- ½ slices small lime peeled and separated into
- 2 inch section of cucumber cut into chunks
- cold purified water
- 3 drops liquid stevia optional for sweetness
Instructions
- Place ingredients in blender or Vitamix and fill with water until the water line reaches ¾ of the way to the top of the ingredients. Blend until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
